Your text is not translated, it is transcribed: each letter finds the Greek letter that carries its sound. Our alphabet descends directly from it — the word alphabet comes from its first two letters, alpha and beta.

Greek is the only one of these ancient alphabets still written today: the letters on your piece are read in Greece every day, unbroken for almost three thousand years. Your text is engraved the way you write it — first letter capitalised, the rest in lowercase.
